My Favorite American Cartoon Characters-2

Minions is a 2015 American 3D computer-animated family comedy film, serving as a spin-off/prequel to the Despicable Me franchise. Produced by Illumination Entertainment for Universal Pictures. The film stars Coffin (as the Minions), Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, and Steve Coogan, and is narrated by Geoffrey Rush. It was first foreshadowed in the end credits of Despicable Me 2, where Kevin, Stuart, and Bob, three of the Minions, are seen auditioning for the film.

Minions had its premiere on June 11, 2015, in Leicester Square, London, and went into general release in the United States on July 10, 2015. Critical response was mixed: some critics praised the comedic aspects of the film and the performances of Bullock and Hamm, while others felt that the titular characters were not able to carry the film on their own, and that the villains were flatly characterized.

Minions are small, yellow creatures who have existed since the beginning of time, evolving from single-celled organismsinto beings who exist only to serve history’s most despicable masters.[14] After serving a great deal of masters over the centuries (though they accidentally kill their masters most of the time), and a disastrous end to their service to Napoleon, the Minions are driven into isolation and decide to start a new life in a massive cave in Antarctica. After many years, the Minions become depressed, restless and unmotivated without a master to serve. To regain their dignity and sense of purpose, Kevin, one fearless Minion, decides to set out to find a new master and asks for help. Stuart, a musically inclined Minion and Bob, a young and inexperienced but infectious Minion, are recruited.

My Favorite American Cartoon Characters-1

Mickey Mouse is a funny animal cartoon character and the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company. He was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at the Walt Disney Studios in 1928. An anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large yellow shoes, and white gloves, Mickey has become one of the world’s most recognizable characters.

Mickey first was seen in a single test screening. Mickey officially debuted in the short film Steamboat Willie (1928), one of the first sound cartoons. He went on to appear in over 130 films, including The Band Concert(1935), Brave Little Tailor (1938), and Fantasia (1940). Mickey appeared primarily in short films, but also occasionally in feature-length films. Ten of Mickey’s cartoons were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, one of which, Lend a Paw, won the award in 1942. In 1978, Mickey became the first cartoon character to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Beginning in 1930, Mickey has also been featured extensively as a comic strip character. His self-titled newspaper strip, drawn primarily by Floyd Gottfredson, ran for 45 years. Mickey has also appeared in comic books and in television series such as The Mickey Mouse Club (1955–1996) and others. He also appears in other media such as video games as well as merchandising, and is a meetable character at the Disney parks.

Toy story and Toy story 2 are my favorite American Cartoons. Now i would like to do some introduction to the TOY STORY 2.

Toy Story 2 is a 1999 American computer-animated comedy adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by John Lasseter and co-directed by Lee-Unkrich and Ash Brannon, it is the sequel to the 1995 film Toy Story.

In the film, Woodyis stolen by a toy collector, prompting Buzz Lightyearand his friends to vow to rescue him, but Woody is then tempted by the idea of immortality in a museum. Many of the original characters and voices from Toy Story return for this sequel, and several new characters—including Jessie (voiced by Joan Cusack), Barbie(voiced by Jodi Benson), Stinky Pete (voiced by Kelsey Grammer) and Mrs. Potato Head (voiced by Estelle Harris)—are introduced.

Disney initially envisioned the film as a direct-to-video sequel. Toy Story 2 began production in a building separated from Pixar, on a small scale, as most of the main Pixar staff were busy working on A Bug’s Life(1998). When story reels proved promising, Disney upgraded the film to theatrical release, but Pixar was unhappy with the film’s quality. Lasseter and the story team redeveloped the entire plot in one weekend. Although most Pixar features take years to develop, the established release date could not be moved and the production schedule for Toy Story 2 was compressed into nine months.

The Lion King tells the story of Simba, a young lion who is to succeed his father, Mufasa, as king; however, after Simba’s uncle Scar murders Mufasa, Simba is manipulated into thinking he was responsible and flees into exile in shame and despair. Upon maturation living with two wastrels, Simba is given some valuable perspective from his childhood friend, Nala, and his shaman, Rafiki, before returning to challenge Scar to end his tyranny.

The Lion King was released on June 15, 1994, to a positive reaction from critics, who praised the film for its music, story and animation; it finished its run as the highest-grossing release of 1994.

The development of The Lion King started concurrently with Pocahontas, which most of the animators of Walt Disney Feature Animation decided to work on instead, believing it would be the more prestigious and successful of the two

My Favorite American Cartoons-4

Beauty and the Beast which came in the year 1991 is one of the famous American cartoons.  This cartoon is the only one cartoon film which has been nominated to the Oscar so far.

Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American animated musical romantic fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by  Walt Disney Pictures. The 30th film in the  Walt Disney Classics series and the third in the Disney Renaissance period, it is based on the French fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, who was also credited in the English version as well as in the French version,[3] and ideas from the 1946 French film. Beauty and the Beast focuses on the relationship between the Beast (Robby Benson), a prince who is magically transformed into a monster as punishment for his arrogance, and Belle (Paige O’Hara), a beautiful young woman whom he imprisons in his castle. To become a prince again, Beast must win her love in return otherwise he remains a monster forever. The film also features the voices of Richard White, Jerry Orbach, David Ogden Stiers, and Angela lansbury.

This cartoon tells about a girl that her father goes missing from town to go to a invention show. He is captured and she goes to find him. She meets the beast that captured her dad. She stays with the beast in exchange that her father is let go. Later she falls in love with him and he becomes a human prince and they live happy ever after.

The following video is the last part of the cartoon which shows their happy ending.

My Favorite American Cartoons-3

Cinderella is one of the most famous American cartoon from Disney. Every person grew up on it.

Cinderella, or The Little Glass Slipper,is a folk tale embodying a myth-element of unjust oppression/triumphant reward. Thousands of variants are known throughout the world. The title character is a young woman living in unfortunate circumstances, that are suddenly changed to remarkable fortune. The oldest documented version comes from China, and the oldest European version from Italy. The most popular version was first published by Charles Perrault in Histories ou contes du temps passe  in 1697, and later by the Brothers Grimm in their folk tale collection Grimms’ Faory Tales.

Although the story’s title and main character’s name change in different languages, in English-language folklore “Cinderella” is the archetypal name. The word “Cinderella” has, by analogy, come to mean one whose attributes were unrecognized, or one who unexpectedly achieves recognition or success after a period of obscurity and neglect. The still-popular story of “Cinderella” continues to influence popular culture internationally, lending plot elements, allusions, and tropes to a wide variety of media.

The Aarne-Thompson system classifies Cinderella as “the persecuted heroine”. The story of Rhodopis, about a Greek slave girl who marries the king of Egypt, is considered the earliest known variant of the “Cinderella” story (published 7 BC), and many variants are known throughout the world.

The following video is one of the best part of the Cinderella.

My Favorite American Cartoons-2

One of the most famous American cartoon from Disney company is Snow White. This can be say the symbol of Disney company, which made Disney company so popular around the world.

Disney’s first feature, based on the Grimm’s fairytale, took an enormous four years and a half to complete, and even then Walt was not happy, later re-touching the shimmering problem of the Prince. Known in the trade press as his ‘folly’  it became one of the biggest success stories of 1938 and redefined animation. Disney encountered many problems regarding how to bring realism to the screen, and later resolved this by adding depth to two-dimension with the multiplane camera. However, his real concern  was how to give a character a real personality and appear alive on the screen. A gag a minute would no longer work for a feature film like it had his shorts.  Disney’s solution was to use popular film elements such as menace, love and comedy to invoke emotional investment. Terri Martin Wright in her article ‘Romancing the Tale: Walt Disney’s Adaptation of the Grimm’s “Snow White”’ claims this film is really a romantic comedy, and whilst this claim has some merit, the film appears to be closer to a melodrama by definition.

The story of Snow White came from the fairy tale of Germany.  And Disney company made it to the cartoon film. Snow White is princess who is pretty and kind and live with seven cute dwarves. There is another queen ,who always ask the magic mirror who is the mist beautiful woman in the world. Whenever she asked, the mirror always say Snow White.  She got jealous and used poison apple to put her to sleep. Only her prince can save her, by kissing her to wake her up. But beforehand he has to kill the evil queen. At the end, the prince killed the evil queen and wake up Snow White.

Cartoon Network’s incarnation of Tom and Jerry resembled the animated shorts in its humor and animation style. The difference between Fred Quimby’s and Chuck Jones’ Tom and Jerry episodes, from the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s, is that the characters’ features are drawn slightly differently.

The shape of the characters for The Tom and Jerry Show will be closer to Fred Avery’s versions, although the colors are brighter and the black outlines are gone. The Tom and Jerry Show looks to be Flash animation, but that certainly doesn’t detract from the style. Plus, the theme song is the same as the original, but with a lot more brass added to the melody.

This cat and mouse team were the inspiration for The Simpsons Itchy and Scratchy (without the gore). Tom and Jerry chase each other, torment each other and generally try to defeat the other. Though Tom has the upper hand more than, say, Sylvester, he still has yet to make a meal of Jerry. Tom and Jerry has had many incarnations, beginning with the Academy award-winning MGM shorts in the 1940s to the most recent episodes on Cartoon Network.

Every episode of this anime has a special method of crime, detective Conan helps police officers to solve the cases every time. At time same time, he is trying to find a mysterious organization which makes Conan become younger.

The manga has been adapted into an anime series by the animation studio Tokyo Movie Shinsha, directed by Kenji Kodama (episode 1 to 252), Yasuichiro Yamamoto (episode 110 to 332, 667 to 677, 681 to the last episode to date), Masato Sato(episode 318 to 504), Kouji Ochi(505 to 666, and 678 to 680), and is broadcast in Japan on Nippon Television, Yomiuri TV, Animax.
